WEDDING PARTY - GROOMSMEN
Dan Li
I first met Dan while in college where we forged our friendship amidst brutal winters and crushing pressure to succeed. Somehow, we made it, we have kept in touch ever since. With Dan, I developed my interest in photography while exploring the gorges of Ithaca, New York. It’s a good thing we took up a hobby that took us on hiking expeditions, otherwise we’d never work off all those calories from eating late-night sandwiches at the infamous Hot Truck in West Campus. A technology guru with a great sense of humor, Dan is the person to talk whether you want to discuss multi-universe black-hole cosmology or Kirk vs. Picard. Dan is currently making the big bucks working in the world of corporate finance in New York City.
Chris Chen
Chris and I were to be introduced to each other by a mutual friend over dim sum, except that mutual friend did not actually show up. Despite this, we still hit it off like we were old friends. Of course, it helped that we had so much in common right off the bat – we both share a similar heritage, ties to Canada, and affection for good food. Since we’ve met, we’ve been on numerous quests to seek out a good meal in Tucson, Arizona. These types of excursions are known to us as “mandated man-dates” which often are undertaken with the absence of Chris’ better half. Chis and I are both currently both in-training at the University of Arizona for our future as cancer slayers and we spend much of our time sneaking out for lunch and keeping each other sane (more or less).
When Evonne and I first started dating, word quickly spread amongst her family and, pretty soon, I found myself sharing a meal with several of Evonne’s cousins, including William. My first impression of William was of a level-headed, easy-going guy from Hawaii, but, as I got to know him better, I found him to be a man of strong family values and moral discipline. He is truly a stand-up guy who I rely on frequently for advice and counsel. Whenever I return to the Bay Area, William and I would always find some time to spend with family, often over awesome boba milk tea, authentic Japanese ramen, or some truly epic home-cooked food. William is currently an accountant in a Bay Area biotechnology company and has recently gotten married himself.
